Good morning!☀️

 It’s a warm 68° on the porch this morning. The sun is up with a few stray high clouds. Birds are singing. Cicadas are pretty loud this morning.  I hear our roosters proclaiming morning has broken as well.  There’s also quite a bit of road noise in the distance.  

My hummingbirds are feeding well this morning too. I filled the feeders late Sunday night.  They weren’t as active yesterday I think. Looks like it’ll be tomorrow before I hafta fill them again.  

I don’t hafta look far to know ragweed is in abundance. I just hafta open my eyes in the morning.  Stuck together. Sandpaper.  Singular might need a helper this year.  Exactly what good is ragweed? 

Please remember to pray for those who’ve lost loved ones recently. Pray for our community, county and country. Pray for our leaders at all levels.  Pray for your family. For your neighbors. Just pray.  As our pastor once said, “pray until you pray”.  I need that advice.

It’s a cloudy 57° on my porch at 8:45 am. The air is crisp, you could “feel” the rain. I’ve been out here watching my hummingbirds about an hour. Now, the rain has started.  Rainy fall days bring back wonderful memories!  That was a quick rain shower!  I’ve worked overtime 3 weeks of this month.  Covid will end my career. I don’t believe I have the stamina to keep up this pace! Never, ever in my 43 year career has it been this difficult. Never - even in three different states! Please pray for an end to this dreadful thing!  Please remember to pray for those who are in need! Please pray for our community, county, state and country!  Next Sunday, October 3, will be Homecoming at Miller Hill. Service starts at 11. Who turned off the heat?!

It’s a sunny 28° at 8:45 am on the porch this morning. I am not out there in it, but instead, I’m enjoying my coffee inside where it’s warm!  It’s been a wild ride around here all weekend! Lots of rain Friday night and Saturday morning , with tornadoes 🌪 in the area again Saturday. Yesterday, there were lots of snow showers. I love the bright sunshine ☀️ today! I just need it a tad warmer!  Currently, I’m enjoying my second cup of coffee waiting on my little buddy to wake.  There’s so much to pray for too.  Please pray for those who’ve lost loved ones.  Pray for peace and comfort for those who remain.  Pray for our community and our leaders at all levels.   I love all y’all! ❤️ Have a blessed day!

More snow?

I hope we don’t get the snow that is predicted Saturday. I am not a fan of snow. This last one left about 1/2 foot of snow on the ground for a couple days before it rained it all away. It’s 35° out there this morning. I believe it’s supposed to be mid 40s today. Of course, it’s my weekend to work. I was supposed to work today, but my car decided to tear up yet again.   This morning, the sunrise was beautiful. There were so many reds, oranges and yellows.  I didn’t get a picture at that time.  I have a distant relative who’s husband is very sick. Please say prayers for them both. He was recently diagnosed with renal cell cancer. During or just after surgery yesterday, he had a heart attack.  I’ve never met them in person, but they’re still family.  Please pray for healing.   I ask you to pray for our community,  county, state and country. Pray for our leaders at all levels to make prudent choices for the good of all, not just a few.   Please r...
