Another Sunday Morning

 Good morning! I’m up. My coffee is beside me. It’s 6am and a cool 70° on the porch. It’s overcast and has been raining. I can hear the creek running. That usually means we received at least 2 inches of rain recently and in a short period of time. All the water from this general area makes it to my creek. I woke to find several weather warnings that didn’t wake me. A few were tornado warnings. It doesn’t give a location for any of it. My app is set for Warren and Edmonson counties but I can’t tell where.  

Yesterday’s storms caused a friend to lose her home when lightning struck, causing a fire. I know the house is likely a total loss with smoke and water damage as well. I’m unsure about their belongings at this point. For now, please remember them and their family in your prayers.  I’m sure someone will post necessity items as soon as they know! I know their pain. I also know the generosity of this community especially during loss. Let’s watch, pray, and help them recover! 

I think I need to visit Mammoth Cave Transplants for another hummingbird feeder. I have two out currently. The birds are so territorial. I counted eight different birds at the feeders fighting over one hole. There’s room for all eight if they’d just share! I love watching them. One of my earliest memories was watching the hummingbirds feed on my mommas four o’clocks.  I need to plant some of those next year. I say that every year and forget. Google the flowers if you aren’t familiar with them. Hummers and butterflies love them!
