Summertime

In 2021, the June solstice happens on Sunday, June 20, at 10:32 P.M. CDT. That’s when summer really begins. The first full day of summer will be June 21. There will be more hours of daylight that day (June 20) than any other day of the year.  Shortly after, daylight will decrease by a minute here and there until the winter solstice in December, when we will have the fewest hours of daylight- and those hours will begin lengthening again. It’s been a bit humid today.  Not a fan.  Currently it’s 82° on my porch.  By the way, I got the cutest summer decorative towel today. I’ll show you soon.  Check back tomorrow for pics.
I worked the last 3 days. People are so sick.  It’s sad.  We are still seeing very detrimental effects of COVID on those it chooses to hurt.  I still don’t understand why some die, some get sniffles, and some don’t know they’re sick.  Thankfully, active COVID cases are way down.
Oh, that owl Bruce rescued passed away.  He tried. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=10rxArhGKJKnP5tvaNWIOy73qEZvn5SrK
Y’all remember my cousin and her family in your prayers. Her oldest, Kelly, passed away a few weeks ago. Saturday she lost her husband of over 43 years to cancer. Two great losses in such a short time- I don’t know how she can do it. But she’s strong and she’ll go on. James would want that. Sue (and Elsie, Pauletta and Jill) was more like an aunt to me growing up than first cousins.  Such memories!
I love all y’all ❤️Have a blessed evening!
